B&D Division 11
Frampton Cotterell 2nd XI 256-8, Clevedon 3rd XI 190

Clevedon 3rd XI slipped to a 66-run defeat at the hands of Frampton Cotterell on Saturday, despite the best efforts of Ben Hussey, whose impressive 66 had put Chris Bennett’s side in a strong position in the run chase.

Young Archie Birbeck was the pick of the Clevedon attack with 3-60, as Frampton posted an imposing total batting first.

But after Chris Bennett (22) and Hussey had departed, Clevedon collapsed in a heap before Dan Carrington (38no) and James Williams (24) did their best to repair the damage.

It wasn’t enough though, with Clevedon coming up well short of their victory target.
