Easton Cowboys 139, Clevedon 3rd XI 140-4

Jack Houston starred with bat and ball as Clevedon 3rd XI cruised to a six-wicket victory over Easton Cowboys at Clevedon School on Saturday.

The all-rounder took 3-21 to help dismiss Easton for just 139, with David Clarke (3-6) also in the wickets for the hosts.

In reply, Clevedon wasted little time in reaching their target – just 17.4 overs, in fact – as Houston (42no), Paul Jenkins (38), Olly Wilson (25) and Ben Hussey (23) peppered the boundary to seal a comfortable win for stand-in captain, Jack Banks’ side.

Clevedon are currently fourth in the B&D Division 11 table, but sit just three points behind leaders Winterbourne B, with the season just past the half-way stage.
